Jen joined us with over 20 years of experience as a Board-Certified Music Therapist. In addition to her work at Heartsong, most recently Jen was the Memory Care Manager at the Hebrew Home in Riverdale, the largest nursing home in New York State. She was trained as a Neurologic Music Therapy Fellow at Colorado State and received her Master’s in Music Therapy from the University of the Pacific. Jen also studied Sensory Integration to better help children with sensory challenges and used these techniques with many children, including those with autism. Jen has worked with clients of all ages and has a special interest in research. Alongside a team of neurologists, she studied the use of drumming to improve movement for Veterans with Parkinson’s disease at the Honolulu VA. Jen is excited to join the Heartsong family and to meet all of you!
