Matt Royes is a Board-Certified Music Therapist. He received his master’s degree in Music Therapy in 2019 from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Matt has been working with children with autism, hearing deficits, and developmental disabilities at Heartsong since January of 2020. Matt also works at Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills region in a Skilled Nursing unit with older adults with dementia. Matt has worked with a variety of populations, including hospice patients and adults with developmental disabilities, autism, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Alzheimer’s. He values the connections and outcomes that can be achieved through the creative use of music and the arts.
